Oh, this one is a no brainer. Definitely Jade War by Fonda Lee. I discovered The Greenbone Saga through Shealea @ Shut up, Shealea and I am forever grateful for her recommendation. She was actually hosting the blog tour for Jade War and I had applied for it before I had read the first book in the series. (Jade City) In my defence, I wasn’t actually expecting to be accepted into the tour but man, am I glad she let me join and I actually really loved Jade City/War. I’ve linked the review already, but you can also click the book covers to see any mentioned posts.

I’m not big on doing discussion posts. Mainly because I don’t think I have much to contribute and I feel like everything I say is just regurgitating things people before me have said more eloquently. But I did really loved this post I wrote back in April about My Favourite Things About Breath Of The Wild. If you don’t know BOTW (first of all, get to know), it’s the newest instalment of the Zelda franchise and it’s one of my favourite games ever. I spoke a lot about my experience with video games and how rarely I got the opportunity to play the big names growing up. And then I listen some of my favourite parts of the game. It’s a pretty chill post but I love it a lot.

I don’t know why but my First Ten Books I Ever Reviewed makes me both cringe and cry with laughter. This December marks the five year anniversary of my blog becoming a book blog. The first year I spent it as a writing dumping ground before I cleared it all out and made it what it is today.

Yeah, I’m going to have to skip this one. I actually have nothing to show for this. 😂

Again, I used to be really into doing Bookish post during my college year and I slowly stopped using Instagram mainly because I got really shy using it to do blog stuff since a lot of my old school friends follow me on there. My old friends are chill, but I feel a little too awkward to use it for bookish photos. And since I don’t own physical copies anymore (only for my favourites) doing bookish pictures is really difficult. I do have some plans to do digital ones in the future.
But what I loved about doing the Year of the Asian reading challenge is that I decided to do a twitter thread of my journal spreads where I featured quotes from some of the books I read. You can check the thread here. (Also, I’ll be a lot more active on twitter for the first half of the year since I’m in my final year of university)

WOW, this one really came for my throat and reminded me how unoriginal I am. I guess I have to pick my Young Muslim Writers Award vlog. It was my first time doing a voiceover for a video and it really gave me the push I needed to take a step towards producing videos. I don’t know if I’ll do booktube, but I love creating videos and editing, so I’m definitely looking into doing some like that once I graduate.

Probably, the Jade War Blog Tour post. I was really proud of that review and the playlist I made. And also my blog tour post for Graham’s Delicacies. It was my first time doing a proper giveaway and hopefully in the new year, I can do some more.

This year has been pretty basic for me. Aside from reaching year five, I’ve kept to quite a familiar schedule. I did go out my comfort zone and tried requesting more books from publishers. Granted, I did fail but at least I tried. 😂 Hopefully, once I’m free from university I’ll have more time to focus on blog stuff and really make this a space I’m proud of.
I often call myself the tag ruiner because I never tag people after doing these things. Not to sound like a cop out but I tag anyone who reads this and hasn’t been tagged yet. Consider yourself tagged!
First of all, congrats on 5 years! That’s amazing! That’s awesome that you got to join the blog tour! I really need to read that book! And that journal photo with the quote is GORGEOUS! If you ever decide to go back into bookstagra, I would definitely follow you!
